Happy Fall Beautiful People!
Oh my goodness - really it is that time again? So soon?!
We've been busy playing with our newest medium- METAL CLAY!!
Metal Clay pieces are just that - clay that we hand-mold, shape, engrave, stamp, and/or set stones in, then fire, leaving behind 100% pure copper, or .999 fine silver (that's more pure than sterling!)
Check out our latest piece which we called "Love Transfusion" which has copper on the right and fine silver on the left . We bezel set a 5mm yellow CZ in the copper. This is a great, chunky piece for fall/winter!!
TIME IS FLYING!!! IN ORDER TO GET YOUR HOLIDAY PIECES IN TIME, PLEASE PLACE YOUR ORDERS BY DECEMBER 2ND!
CHECK OUT OUR OTHER METAL CLAY PIECES FOR IDEAS! THESE ARE THE ULTIMATE IN PERSONALIZED AND COMPLETELY HAND MADE/ONE-OF-A-KIND GIFTS!

Rocky Mountain High
Hooray for summertime and vacations that never last quite long enough- but that we are ever grateful to have. We just returned from a mini-vacation to Boulder and Estes Park Colorado. We'd never been to Boulder before and quickly fell in love (and can see why they say it's the happiest city in the US). Boulder Creek was so cool - and we enjoyed all of the great boutiques and specialty shops (Meow Meow was one of our favorites!) We saw Bassnectar at Red Rocks and met some super cool new friends in line for the show.
We visited Avery Brewery and Boulder Beer Company. We did the tour at Avery and
our tour guide was FANtastic! So much fun! We spent Sunday driving up to Estes Park and Rocky Mt National Park. What an incredible sight. I hadn't been there since I was little and I don't think Josh had ever been. We walked around Bear Lake and slid on some snow and ventured off the beaten path and stopped to make friends with a chipmunk (I have since named him Chip Monk). :) We escaped just before a huge storm rolled in. At the bottom of the Mountain before hitting town we spotted a Rock Shop. I felt like I was 8 again and begged Josh to pull over. Turns out he is much like me when it comes to shiny natural stones! The folks there were so kind - and suggested we take a trip into their dark room to see the stone I was eyeballing under their black light. It was there that I discovered Michigan Float Copper - an organic flat, copper nugget that was  shaped by flowing waters and rock.  I have made one so far, for a good friend going through a life-transition, and very worthy of (and needing some) extra LOVE. The coolest thing to me about these pieces is the symbolism behind their journey. These pieces of raw, organic metal have been tossed around and rolled over and beaten up, and churned and flipped upside down and inside out and they only get MORE BEAUTIFUL each time. . they just.. Float...On. Much like WE do in our Journeys. We hit a rock over here (and sometimes get stuck under them for a short amount of time) and then pick up and carry on a while - until we find ourSelves face to face with Life's next huge Boulder -- then it's SMACK blam BOOM! ...AND BACK to the bottom we sink - until the serendipitous babbling brook lifts us up to the top again for some fresh air and smooth rolling. JUST as such we continue OUR travels- getting shiner and smoother and "more Character" along the way.
This, my friends, is what I love about these pieces and why I think they are the perfect addition to the HeartSoul Jewelry Collection. :)
May you find happy treasures in YOUR journeys this summer and always.

TRAGIC STORY - taking donations to send some love to a family suffering a huge loss..
KETV Channel 7 news story:

Two teenage sisters collide on a gravel road. One (to graduate high school next week and then go to college at UNL) loses her life.. the other, age 15 survives but has to live with the pain of losing her sister and good friend. :(
When I heard this story, first on the news and then the next morning on the radio station 94.1 (The Big Party Show), I cried.

I knew immediately that I wanted to make necklaces for the mom and surviving sister, Megan. .

I am not a wealthy girl and silver prices are through the roof currently.

So, instead of letting the burning desire to help pass (as I normally do when I hear of tragedies like this and feel compelled to send strangers a gift) I decided to ask for HELP, so I could make this happen. . and PEOPLE STEPPED UP IMMEDIATELY.
I am SO thankful to everybody who has donated $5-$20 EACH to help  pay for the materials to send this family some love. I truly appreciate it!!

We've just about reached our goal. If we happen to exceed cost of supplies (I'm not keeping profits) I will make other pieces for the family (grandma, key chain for dad).

So, if you're interested in supporting this cause, I thank you in advance for donating via PayPal to heartsoul28@yahoo.com. You'll want to be sure to do so as "personal" and "gift" so PayPal doesn't charge their fee.

so much love to you and yours!
Happy Mother's Day weekend as well!

FINALLY!!! IT'S SPRING TIME (though it's COLD out this week).
Somehow the flowers are surviving as we hold out for the warm weather to fully take hold and stick around.
The prices of silver have gone through the ROOF so I haven't been able to keep the inventory I typically do. All this means for you is that we need more turnaround time for custom pieces. Our ready to buy items are still ready to ship out within 48 hours. The sterling and copper pieces have a 1-2 week turn around until (fingers crossed) the silver prices go back down and we can stock up!
For those not freaked out by cremains, I have experimented with some really cool resin pendants containing cremains of my beloved Zoe who passed of cancer related illness just over a month ago. We can mix ashes into colored resin, dye them with alcohol ink and embed them (they almost look like tiny jewels when we do this) or - for the even less faint of heart, keep them as is within clear resin. We can stamp initials, names, dates, anything and work those in as well. The possibilities are truly endless and it's an amazingly comforting way to keep our most dear truly close at heart and mind - and with us every day. It only takes a couple of pinches of the ash to make a pendant, and any unused ashes will be returned.
Feel free to email me with questions or ideas.
I have only done pets, but would be honored to memorialize human loved ones in this way as well.

May Earth Day be warm and sunny and springtime remind us all that growth is so important..and so very beautiful. . especially after a long-- cold -- winter.

much love and blessings to you all.
xoxo
Namaste,
